CLASS OF 2020!  OUR BALFOUR REPRESENTATIVES WILL BE HERE ON THE FOLLOWING DATE: 

Friday, October 25th at lunch.  A $75 down payment is required with a senior order.

The after school program is looking for Juniors and Seniors who are members of FFCLA, NHS, FBLA or another leadership club who would be interested in tutoring during the after school hours. If interested, see Ms. Kelly.

 

Have you purchased your Flashlight yearbook yet?  Order your book before Thursday, November 7 to be entered to win one of ten gift cards.  Order forms are on the stand outside the office.  The book price will increase in January. 

 

The Hagan Scholarship is now available in the guidance office.  This is a $6,000 scholarship designed for students with a financial need that have a 3.75 gpa and at least a 24 ACT or 1150 SAT score.

 

Juniors and Seniors:  A representative from Murray State University will be here Tuesday, October 29th at 10:00 am. Please sign the list in guidance if you would like to attend.

 

Any spring semester journalism/ yearbook student interested in selling 50/50 tickets at the Senior night game, please see Mrs. Dunavan this week.

 

Tryouts for girls’ basketball will begin on Monday, November 4th. Girls who plan on trying out must have a physical and insurance form on file with the school. We will have open gyms on Tuesday and Thursday this week from 3:30 to 4:30. Also, if anyone plans to try out for basketball but hasn’t tried on shoes, they need to see Coach File as soon as possible.

 

The next FCA meeting will be this Friday. Same time and place. Please sign up with coach File or Coach Boyett if you would like pizza and soda. Cost is 3 dollars for food.

 

Art Club meeting after school today, please bring t-shirt money if you've not done so already and make sure your t-shirt size is correct. We will be discussing having a Halloween activity. Meeting will end at 3:45.

 

The Choices class will be selling cookies today during 5A lunch.  Cookies are 50 cents each or 3 for $1.00.  The flavors are chocolate chip and carnival.

 

Friends of Rachel club members, please see Ms. Kelly in the Library before the end of the day Friday.

 

Student Council is hosting a Halloween Costume Contest on Thursday, October 31.  Themes will be:  Best Group, Cutest Couple, Most Creative, Funniest, Most Original.  If you want judged, please stop by the table in front of the media center on October 31st between 7:30am-and 8:00am.  School dress code applies!!!

 

Anyone (male or female) interested in trying out for competitive cheerleading a tryout will be held on Monday, October 28 6:30-8:30 @ Theobald. Must have a current physical on file to tryout. See Coach Geiger with any questions.

 

Students--Foods II Cafe will be serving today--Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, green beans, salad, pumpkin pie and drink for $3.00.  Reservations must be made with Mrs. Stacey in the FACS room. 

 

Juniors and Seniors: The representative from Greenville University has cancelled their Friday visit.  A makeup date will be scheduled for a date in November.

 

Congratulations to the following Pep Club members whose pumpkins have advanced to the donation table tomorrow night: Xavier Baxter, Braylyn Funk, Damion Hurry, Jessa Hinman, Lauren Buaman, Elaina Romani, Avrey McClanahan, Sophie Miller, and Madison Matthews. Thanks to all who decorated pumpkins for a great cause!
