Dear DES Families,
We have already heard great news about our new One School, One Book title! The chapters are very short and we have set up for a 13-day schedule of reading to encourage everyone to use the book for your nightly bedtime story. We will also read it at school and have activities
to support this all school book club adventure. The following is the schedule for the upcoming week:
- Wed., Feb. 5 – Chapter 2 [pp.5-10]
- Thurs., Feb. 6 – Chapter 3 [pp.11-20]
- Mon., Feb. 10 – Chapter 4 [21-33]
- Tues., Feb. 11 – Chapter 5 [34-42]
With Valentine’s Day approaching next Friday, we wanted our parents to be aware that we provide the Valentine bags at school. Students cannot bring Valentine boxes from home. This is an annual art project for our students who create unique Valentine bag designs during art classes. They are always so proud to us them for the upcoming party. I can’t wait to see this year’s creative designs!
