DMS National Jr. Honor Society applications are now available in the office. NJHS is open to 7th and 8th grades. See Mr. Cornett if you have any questions.
You can order a fresh carnation flower for one of your friends or sweeties. The cost will be $1 each, half dozen for $5 or a DOZEN for $10. These will be delivered on Valentine's Day. Also, a soft buffalo plaid DMS Warrior blanket will be on display next week and be raffled off. Raffle tickets can be purchased on your lunch hour or from any Builder's Club member or Student Council member. Tickets are $1 each or 7 for $5.
Builder's Club members: Please come to Mrs. Krone's room to get raffle tickets to sell. Also, see the bulletin board for sign-up sheets to take flower orders.
February is Random Acts of Kindness month. Starting Monday, through the end of the month, strips of paper will be in each homeroom class in a basket. When you see someone perform an act of kindness, fill out a strip in your homeroom with what the act was, who, and what grade. Put in the basket in your homeroom. Teachers will periodically link them and hang them in the hall.
5th and 6th grade boys basketball practice today after school from 3:00-4:30.
Word Squad members remember to grab your Scrabble partner and sign up for the Scrabble tournament with Mrs. Small. The practice round is next Thursday. Feb 13th during the Word Squad meeting. Members not participating in the tournament should still attend the meeting to work on our play.
There will Volleyball practice for 6th and 7th grade on Saturday from 8:00-9:30. 8th Grade will practice at 9:00-10:30 on Saturday.
Lunch today is BBQ chicken on a bun.
