Hello Parents, Guardians, and Students:
I hope this message finds you well, particularly as we see more COVID-19 cases in our community. As you've heard from building principals, today is a distribution/collection day for remote learning opportunities. As you are getting out, please continue to follow social distancing guidelines. avoid large groups, wash your hands frequently, and use a cloth face covering in community settings. (A reminder that if you feel you have been exposed to COVID-19 and are experiencing symptoms, Marshall Browning Hospital has a COVID-19 hotline. You can see the flyer for details here.)
To assist with planning for the month of May and beyond, we have created a calendar which can be viewed on our website here. This calendar will indicate Grab & Go Meal days, Remote Learning Days and important events related to the end of the academic year and more as we move forward into the summer months. We will update this frequently and will keep the calendar pinned to our news items on our website.
The month of June has typically been a month when we have hosted summer school activities. At this time any summer school activities which we are able to conduct/host will be held in July. We don't know yet what this will look like, we only know it will be in July. We can say at this time that we will have a food program in the summer which WILL include June. We will provide more information as soon as we can.
With COVID-19 cases on the rise in our community and county, we are continuing to monitor the situation closely as we look to recognize our senior class on Friday, May 15th. I anticipate sharing out information specific to senior recognition this Friday, May 8th. Until then, please take care and stay safe.
