In the spring, the Du Quoin CUSD 300 Board of Education adopted a calendar for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. Recent laws and the impacts of COVID-19 have since impacted that calendar. The calendar was amended and formally adopted at the July board meeting. Here are relevant dates for 2020-2021 in District 300:
August 17th/18th - The first day of attendance for students. School will begin under a combination of in-person learning and remote learning with half of our students attending in-person on Mondays/Wednesdays and half on Tuesdays/Thursdays.
September 7 - Labor Day - No school
October 12 - Columbus Day - No school
November 3 - Election Day - No school (This is the result of a recent law passed in Illinois.)
November 11 - Veterans Day - No school
November 25-27 - Thanksgiving break - No school
December 21-January 1 - Christmas break - No school
School resumes on Jan. 4
January 18 - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - No school
February 15 - Presidents Day - No school
March 8-12 - Spring break - No school
April 2-5 - Easter weekend - No school
May 28 - Tentative last day of school
