DES Families,
We invite you to join us in our daily theme days for American Education Week on Nov. 16 - Nov. 20.
- Monday, Nov. 16 - We will kickoff the week by composing writing activities surrounding the theme "What I Like Best About My School" or "If I Were Principal, I Would . . ."
- Tuesday, Nov. 17 - We're celebrating our supportive parents, guardians and families - Watch for your "thank you" in your student's bookbag!
- Wednesday, Nov. 18 - A day to thank our paraprofessionals and support staff - join us by sending a note or handmade picture to show these support personnel how important they are to our school:
- Secretaries: Tena Rennison & Melissa Tilley
- Paraprofessionals: Julie Behm, Sarah Furlow, Karen Godwin, Kim James, Shawn Kellerman, Nancy Ragland, Laura Rea, Lauren Scheks, Angie Sheehan, Mary Williams, & Cindy Winter
- Custodial Staff: Donald Cole, Andrea Cashion, Marvin Dewar & Cheryl Poe
- Kitchen Staff: Donna Lively, Linda Harris, Mary Jenkins, Erin Kroeger, Amy Lee, Ashley Leeper, Rob Manser, Danielle Swayne
- Thursday, Nov. 19 - We have terrific teachers - send a positive message of encouragement and support.
- And as a reminder on Friday, Nov. 20, we return to our Remote Learning Friday Google Meetings!
Next Thursday, Nov. 19 is also the statewide Family Reading Night. This has always been a very important night for us and something we will truly miss being able to have in person. So we are starting a DES Family Reading Night Facebook or YouTube page. Watch for that page on our social media and fun read-aloud videos with our faculty, staff and hopefully community throughout the school year.
With Papoose Pride,
Diana Rea, Principal
