The PTO is holding the Scholastic Book Fair next week. This will be a unique experience as we will have it outside. I'm really looking forward to the book fair and appreciate so very much the flexibility of the PTO officers in making this happen for our students. Check with your homeroom teacher on the library special class schedule, as that this the opportunity to "shop" for new books. Also the fair will be open to parent shoppers at dismissal each day from 1:00-2:00 PM. The fair will be in our outdoor pavilion on the playground and families may walk over to this area after picking up their child from the dismissal area. Next week is also our state assessment week for 3rd and 4th graders. We will be testing Monday, April 26 - Wednesday, April 28. It is very important that our students are here on time and ready each day so we can complete these assessments as scheduled. Parents of 3rd and 4th graders should have received a letter with more details concerning our state assessment last week. It you need the letter, it is accessible here from our website.
Finally the enrollment for returning students is open in TeacherEase. Login to your parent portal and select the online registration to get started. Also we held our Kindergarten screening event this week. If you have a student entering Kindergarten next year and did not receive an appointment or need to reschedule, please call the office at 542-2646.
