Najjar Khalil was recently awarded the Carol Morraele Student Scholarship by the Illinois Association for Gifted Children. This $1,000 award was established in memory of Carol Morreale, an educator and tireless advocate for gifted children. The scholarship is given to a student who has demonstrated excellence in language arts or math, requiring teacher recommendations highlighting advanced academic performance, scholarship, and engagement in learning as well as a student portfolio. The announcement was made at the 28th Annual IAGC Conference in October, 2022.
